Mesenchymal stem cell secretome and nanotechnology: Combining therapeutic strategies

نویسندگان

چکیده

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) have pushed the field of cell-based therapies by inducing tissue regeneration, immunosuppression, and angiogenesis mainly through vesicles soluble factors release (paracrine signaling). MSC-extracellular (MSC-EV) adaptable secretome homing to injured sites allowed researchers unlock a new era cell-free based therapy. In parallel, nanoparticles (NP) been explored in contributing transport drug delivery systems, giving drugs desired physical-chemical properties exploit cell behavior. However, NPs can be quickly recognized immune cleared from circulation. this viewpoint, we explore how combining both therapeutic strategies improve efficacy circumvent limitations therapies. MSCEV benefit potent MSC membrane composition, guiding chemotaxis tumor sites, very restricted microenvironment. MSC-EV has low immunogenicity, high stability, long half-life targeting ligands as precise carry, even across biological barriers. Those promote enhanced targeted that combined with NP, exploring production through: 1. direct therapy NP-infused MSC; 2. NP-containing generated 3. coating NP (“MSC NanoGhosts”), allowing cargo definition without losing targeting. Therefore, nanotechnology resources greatly delivery, improving opening venue possibilities.

Mesenchymal Stem Cell Secretome: Toward Cell-Free Therapeutic Strategies in Regenerative Medicine

Earlier research primarily attributed the effects of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapies to their capacity for local engrafting and differentiating into multiple tissue types. However, recent studies have revealed that implanted cells do not survive for long, and that the benefits of MSC therapy could be due to the vast array of bioactive factors they produce, which play an important role in ...

A New Tool in Regenerative Medicine: Mesenchymal Stem Cell Secretome

Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs), often referred to as stromal cells have been the focus in regenerative medicine for their immune suppressive ability, their ability to hone in on the site of injury, their ability to differentiate into multiple cell lines, and ease of cell culture expansion. MSCs have the ability to differentiate into a range of specialized cells of mesodermal origin bone, cartila...

Secretome of Olfactory Mucosa Mesenchymal Stem Cell, a Multiple Potential Stem Cell

Nasal olfactory mucosa mesenchymal stem cells (OM-MSCs) have the ability to promote regeneration in the nervous system in vivo. Moreover, with view to the potential for clinical application, OM-MSCs have the advantage of being easily accessible from patients and transplantable in an autologous manner, thus eliminating immune rejection and contentious ethical issues. So far, most studies have be...

Mesenchymal stem cells secretome as a modulator of the neurogenic niche: basic insights and therapeutic opportunities

Neural stem cells (NSCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) share few characteristics apart from self-renewal and multipotency. In fact, the neurogenic and osteogenic stem cell niches derive from two distinct embryonary structures; while the later originates from the mesoderm, as all the connective tissues do, the first derives from the ectoderm. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that stem cells ...
